Pale-Browed Tinamou
The Pale-Browed Tinamou is a type of Tinamous found in tropical dry forests in Peru and Ecuador. It is recognized by its greyish-brown upper coat which is finely vermiculated with black. The Pale-Browed tinamou has also pale eyebrow, barred flanks, and pink legs.
As it’s typical for most species of forest-inhabiting tinamous, the Pale-Browed tinamou is secretive and rarely seen. The breeding season usually changes according to the bird’s location. For example; it’s from November to February in Ecuador.
Pale-Browed tinamous usually nest at foot of trees, and form a clutch that contains up to 7 pale-greyish mauve eggs. As the other species of tinamous, the male does the incubation and rear the young till they reach the point of independence.
