Adler Silver Chicken
The Adler Silver is a breed of Chickens, which got developed in the Adler poultry complex in Krasnodar territory, in Russia. This bird was developed by crossing 5 different breeds including; white Plymouth Rock, New Hampshire and Yurlov chickens.
The Adler Silver is a dual-purpose chicken, suited for both egg and meat production. These birds always have columbian plumage pattern, single combs, red earlobes and bright-yellow legs. The Adler Silver stands out for its wide body, broad back, and medium-height plump legs. Also, it can be differentiated with its wings which are pressed to the body, and its well-developed backbone.
Adler Silver hens lay a good number of creamy-brown eggs of weight 60 g per each (160 – 180 eggs per year). But, they don’t tend to go broody. The Adler Silver’s age of sexual maturity is 6 months. The hens of this breed can also be used for developing new synthetic lines in Broiler crosses.
